348 – Wim Hof (“The Iceman” Human Health Pioneer)

By October 23, 2018June 13th, 20223 Comments

During his long existential journey, Wim Hof came face to face with nature’s most primordial elements. Staring right back, the merciless cold and bountiful air revealed an energy now lost to most of modern society, dormant inside all of us and waiting to be reawakened.

Having embraced these majestic forces, and breaking record after record in a range of death-defying feats, Wim resolved to share this discovery with the rest of the world. He gradually whittled his accrued insight down to the core essentials, so that people young and old, healthy and sick could tap into this potential without having to invest the same decades worth of study, travel and daring. A whole bunch of relevant information, controlling the autonomous nervous system is fascinating to me and wim doing his best (actually, i dont wish the loss he went through on anybody.. but good thing for us that some good came out of it.. actually for him too ehehe) to be the LIVING PROOF.

I was surprised to hear him talk about pathways; stopping himself when he feels "fear" coming & changing the body’s reaction. This is textbook cognitive therapy; Also, makes me think about how everyone should just take a breath & face their fear. Within limits of reason of course, don’t go fighting a bear or something.

The stuff about deep meditation basically.. making the whole brain work, taking usually inactive parts & making them alive; This was already known (to me) but its great having yet another confirmation. In 2018, this is NEEDED, just google "default mode network" which is mainly associated with frontal cortex to figure out how crucial wim’s teaching (or any lifestyle/mindset that leads to a more.. natural way of life??) are.

What else… the overall message was great; we breath tree’s crap & our crap is tree’s food. Nothing more to add to be honest. He said it all. just.. thanks to him to doing this & thanks to you for providing the platform.

Lastly this is my first time here (therefore my first comment); i found ya through wim’s twitter which i was randomly visiting the other day, i’ve known about him for years now, i just wanted to know what he’s been up to. so yeah, it worked out! long story short, link bookmarked 🙂

  • Really glad you asked him the question about being hypnotized. Maybe he’s only capable of self-induced trance states by now. Makes you wonder on whether Amazonian shamans display the same incapacity to fall into someone else’s spell.

I want to know what the effect of the Wim Hof Breathing Method is on malignant tumors. The role of hypoxia in cancer progression, angiogenesis, metastasis, and resistance to therapy. See https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5045092/
