Callie is the original bada$$. She spends months at a time alone in the wilderness with her goats, living off the land. She was among the last three people on this season’s “Alone,” on the History Channel, lasting 89 days before frostbite ender her run.

(This episode is co-hosted with Anya Kaats, host of A Millennial’s Guide to Saving the World.)

    Chris,

A fantastic show. Makes me want to get out in nature and explore. It’s been a long time since I took an actual hike, and I think I will go on one this weekend.

    Cheers,

    ~Greg

  • Really cool converdation. Callie reminded me of that character in the movie Return to Cold Mountain who was doing perfectly fine all alone by herself, with only her goats as company, while the rest of the world was falling apart:

The episode also made me think on the different strengths between men and women, both real and perceived by our society. Like for example here in Mexico all the people working at gas stations used to be men, and some years ago they began hiring women and clients welcomed the change, because these women gave a much better service. But now because of the COVID situation, I’ve noticed that the gas stations went back to having only male employees; perhaps the station owners thought it was the right thing to do because they wouldn’t put their female employees at risk, but the irony here is that one thing we’ve learned about this coronavirus is that men are actually MORE at risk of dying if they do get infected.
