By April 15, 2021June 22nd, 20223 Comments

Steven Donziger is a renowned lawyer, writer, and public speaker with a focus on addressing human rights abuses and corporate malfeasance.  He is part of the team working with indigenous and farmer communities in an area of the Ecuadorian Amazon rainforest suffering from high cancer rates and other health ailments related to the massive oil pollution caused by Texaco, now owned by Chevron. Due to highly suspicious legal maneuvers on the part of Chevron and their lawyers, Steven has been under house arrest since August, 2019. Please support Steven’s case here.

Thank you for this moving and important podcast and interview which I have already shared. There is little to make light of in this corporate sadism though if anyone could it might be The Yes Men whom have been among the best at elite takedowns. And f!ck Chevron: whom I happened to work for straight out of university from 1989-1992, experiencing their first ever Canadian layoffs in which the CEO blamed profit misfortunes on the employees in a general meeting where he demanded that each employee find a way to save $20 a day for the Corporation. I did that, got laid off anyway, in hindsight thank god. An interview conversation on Joe Rogan would be immense, so I hope other listeners push for that.

Thank you for spreading the word… Made a humble donation today.

  • This appalling story makes Erin Brokovich look like a lame afterschool special.

One thing I would like to know, is if the Ecuadorian government has made any efforts to help Steven. Because it would look as if they are letting him fight this giant inhuman corporation all on his own.
