Your conversation with Dave reminded me of that SNL sketch in which Tom Hanks is an old white guy with a MAGA hat playing Black Jeopardy –needless to say, he’s the only non-black contestant.
The sketch is both hilarious but also endearing. because it highlights how these two demographics have much more in common than they realize, yet there are powerful external interests that are seeking to put them at odds with each other.
