Author of Optimal Happiness. Roman Russo finished his MBA specializing in Marketing at Tilburg University. He spent his succeeding years working in this field selling different products or services by claiming they will make his clients happy. But was it a real, permanent, or long-lasting happiness? In his personal life, Roman was suffering from negativity, debt, depression, and a host of other problems, which today we consider to be “normal.” Yet, he was also consuming the same products he was selling, all of which claimed to improve our lives and make us happy. This led to the conclusion that something was seriously wrong with the happiness formula. To get to the bottom of it, Roman went on a quest to consume all possible information he could find on the subject of happiness, but he was still unhappy with the answers. They were all over the place, often too general, contradicting, or plain wrong. This led to the question: If today's world fails to make us happy, then what does it really take to become truly happy? Eventually, he realized that everything we do is for the sake of happiness. For the next 6 years, Roman studied, taught, and blogged solely about happiness and put together all of his best advice into a model called Optimal Happiness, which stands as the basis of this book. Today, Roman considers himself to be one of the happiest people alive and states that anyone can reach the same goal with the right information.
